Marcosil Grip

MARCOSIL GRIP is a mineral product containing modified potassium silicate, which permits application of MARCOSIL, finishes over old synthetic paints. MARCOSIL GRIP restores the  plaster effect permitting high filling and masking power and evening out the absorption of the base. MARCOSIL GRIP breathes well, making it particularly suitable for restoration work in old buildings; it permits restoration of the mineral look typical of paint on historical buildings with MARCOSIL silicate finishes without requiring removal of existing coats of synthetic paint. Employment May be applied to: - Old paint which is anchored to the surface. - Lime and lime-cement based plasters. - Civil plasters made with mixed mortar or the equivalent. - Concrete surfaces. Silicate products are highly permeable and have no power to protect against the attacks of carbon dioxide, the main cause of concrete decay
